Meet Marcone’s Vancouver Fulfillment Center: A Snapshot into Next-Day Parts Delivery

At this scale, speed is a distribution strategy, not a shipping upgrade.

That’s precisely what you see when you walk into Marcone’s newest Fulfillment Center in Vancouver, Washington: 80,000 square feet of highly optimized, technologically maximized warehouse space.

From its location at 3201 SE Columbia Way, this fulfillment center is 128% larger than the facility it replaced and sets the standard for safety, speed and distribution expectations among Marcone facilities throughout North America.

Vancouver is one of 14 fulfillment centers Marcone operates across the continent, each placed close enough to its customer base that OEM appliance and plumbing parts arrive via next-day ground. Shipped orders reach 93% of U.S. customers the following business day. The remaining 7% land within two days.

The warehouses are already near you – and that’s what makes the next-day number real.

Regional Centers, National Reach

Every Marcone fulfillment center stocks deep OEM inventory and ships to the shops in its region fast enough for a tech to order in the evening and pull the part off a truck before the first job of the morning.

Site selection is deliberate. Vancouver sits near the Port of Tacoma, a deep-water port with direct freight lanes from Asia. That proximity lets Marcone receive overseas product and move it into local inventory without routing through a distant hub.

Alonso Fierro, Marcone’s senior vice president of operations and supply chain, described the company’s strategic output this way: “As we continue to increase our capacity in the northwest, we have expanded our footprint of this facility and that has allowed us to have 2,000 more packages leaving each month and also to increase our SKU count by 5,000 for plumbing offerings.”

Since 2024, Marcone has added fulfillment centers in Denver, Denton, Texas and Calgary, Alberta. Vancouver is the latest point on a grid that keeps expanding.

What the Network Means on a Service Call

For a tech, the whole distribution question comes down to one thing: Is the part there when the job is on the schedule?

The Vancouver fulfillment center ships around 4,000 packages a week, up about 500 from the same period last year. That volume reflects customers who are placing orders with confidence because they have learned that their parts show up on time.

Brian Love, owner of Krohn’s Appliance Service in Newberg, Oregon, said Marcone’s inventory depth changed how his team approaches sourcing.

“Marcone brought a whole different element with the amount of parts available and the timely process of getting it,” he said. “No matter how you look at it, every customer you go to is in distress and the number one thing is to get them out of distress. The sooner you can get parts, the quicker you can get them back to a life they’re used to.”

Eddie Manuel, sales and operations manager at Whirlpool, is confident that Marcone’s expanded presence in the Northwest will make a positive difference for his customers.

“It’s going to be huge for first-call completes for our service companies and ultimately our consumers as the days to complete are much shorter,” he said.

At the end of the day, first-call completion rates separate the shops running profitable schedules from the ones eating callbacks. Parts availability is what moves that number, and availability comes from inventory positioned close enough to arrive quickly. That makes Marcone’s delivery timing a value proposition worth considering.

“I can tell the customer it will be here at least in a couple of days so we can get back out to take care of it,” said JR Hastings, Service Manager for At Your Service Plumbing. “People are impressed when I say that I have to order something but I’m back in one or two days. Most people think when you order something, it’s going to be one or two weeks.”

Anytime Pickup with Personal Lockers

As with most Marcone fulfillment centers, the Vancouver location also offers 24/7 locker pickup. Order at MyMarcone.com, get a retrieval code and pick up parts at any hour. That’s a feature many servicers see as a tremendous benefit.

“Knowing it’s available could change the way we think, especially during times like Thanksgiving,” said Krohn’s Appliance owner Love. “As a small business like I am, you want to be able to deliver that level of customer service on a day-to-day basis.”

With secure access to pick up and return parts through their own dedicated locker, Oregon-based Appliance Guys techs can access critical inventory on their schedule, not during traditional business hours.

For President Glenn Burk, the biggest advantage is the ability to keep technicians moving and help customers get back up and running faster.

“In the instances where we need to get a part after hours, we’re able to go use that will-call access to get what we need so we can have it first thing in the morning the following day,” said Burk.

That flexibility can make a significant difference when serving customers. Instead of waiting for a parts counter to open, technicians can retrieve needed components overnight and arrive prepared for their first appointments of the day.

Anecdotes are great, but for Derek Parker, Marcone’s Director of Operations, the metrics ultimately tell him whether the market is reacting well to a new fulfillment center.

“We’re going to be up 31,000 packages this year over last year,” he said. “So with our ability to commit to our customers to get them the products they need when they need it, it shows.”
